We provide Historical Walking Tours outdoors so our tours are subject to availability and the weather. We will continue our tours despite adverse weather where we can, except for when there could be possible dangers to our customers such as heavy ice, sleet, gale force winds or snow. In the rare instance that this happens you will be informed and we will issue a refund. Do check the weather on the day at https://bbc.co.uk/weather to avoid any discomfort. Most of our destinations are accessible by wheelchair or mobility scooter but be mindful of the distances for we move within a 2 mile radius from the starting point.
Please bear in mind that it is the responsibility of the individual taking our tour to be on time. Any lateness will result in the tour being compromised and it is unfair to keep our punctual customers waiting. If you know you are going to be late please notify by text. The guide might be busy with a tour, so please do not call. Please remain patient as we will get in touch with you at the first opportunity. We reserve the right to withhold refunds for customers who are late without prior notice, difficult or abusive to our staff. We do not offer refunds for last minute cancellations, however you are welcome to join the next tour provided there is space. In this scenario, please contact us beforehand either via phone text or email.
On the day of your Tour
We advise all our customers to arrive at least 5 minutes before the tour is about to start. Our tours leave from outside the main entrance to St Giles Cathedral, West Parliament square on the Royal mile. Your fully costumed guide will await you and carrying an umbrella with our details on it, so we’d be hard to miss! The guide will begin exactly on time, so if you do not see your guide and the time is after you were due to meet, that means the tour has already begun.
